Main tasks will be:

• Carry out the mechanical design of our products in collaboration with the technical team;
• Produce schematics, technical specifications, test procedures and manuals;
• Perform mechanical calculations or analyses;
• Imagine new lifting products or new ways of using our products;
• Support the supply chain for the purchase and development of new suppliers;
• Evaluate technical offers from suppliers;
• Plan and coordinate the different stages of the projects under his responsibility;
• Supervise and support suppliers and system integrators during manufacturing;
• Perform functional and quality inspections of subcontractors;
• Assess and respond to non-compliance reports;
• Control and monitor budgets;
• Provide assistance to our team or the client for on-site lifting operations;
• Produce lifting drawings for our site operations;
• Support or perform the commissioning of equipment on site;
• Provide support to our sales department for the development of quotes;
• Develop internal tools for engineering;
• Develop and deploy new company policies or procedures;
• Other tasks of different natures may be added. Given the size and growth of the company, resourcefulness is key at Megatraction.

Our Ideal Candidate Profile:

• Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering, or equivalent;
• Between 4 to 8 years of experience;
• Experience with 3D CAD software (Inventor, an asset);
• Knowledge of finite element analysis software;
• Ability to understand complex systems, even outside of his specialty;
• Experience managing engineering projects from start to finish;
• Ability to work under pressure in an environment where priorities change quickly;
• Knowing how to affirm your ideas clearly and precisely, even in adversity;
• Demonstrate rigor and organization;
• Excellent communication skills in French and English;
• Member of the Ordre des Ingénieurs du Québec.

Other qualifications considered:

• Master’s degree in engineering or project management;
• Knowledge in automation or hydraulic systems;
• Experience in a mining environment or expertise in mining shovels.
